Island Tour Classic
Tour consists of island sightseeing and shopping.
We will meet you at the dock at a prearranged time and will be holding a sign with your name on it. Our tour will make various stops viewing sights of Charlotte Amalie Harbor and the Caribbean sea from the mountain area. Such sights will include the submarine base which is the main purpose why America bought these islands, Hassel Island, Water Island, Marriot Frenchman Reef, Blackbeard Castle, Bluebeard Castle and St. Croix USVI. Other sights such as the airport, Culebra Island and Puerto Rico on a clear day. All these are on the Caribbean side.
From the Mountain Top, the highest point on St. Thomas at about 1547 ft. above sea level, you can look down upon Magens Bay from an 90 degree angle, considered by national geographic as one of the ten top beaches in the world, as well as the famous Mahogany Run 18 hole golf course. Also, from the Mountain Top you shall see Sir Francis Drake Passage and all of the British and US Virgin Islands including Hans Lollie, Little Tobago, Big Tobago, Virgin Gorda, Tortola, Jost Van Dyke, Tatch Cay, St. John, US Virgin Islands.
After the view, feel free to purchase a banana daiquiri or any beverage of your choice. Just in case you have forgotten to purchase a present for the butler, the maid or the gardener, you can find it at the Mountain Top tourist shops. We will then stop at Sir Francis Drake seat for a brief history lesson about what occurred at that location with Sir Francis Drake.
At the end of the tour, passengers will have the opportunity to be dropped to the downtown area for 2 hours of shopping (and later be picked up and taken back to ship/hotel) or returned to their ship or hotel.
